Cant Astral projection be harmfull to you?, Ive read some things about how good they are, and how much you can do and experience, but also a few things about it can be something evil spirits can take advantage of, to cause you to never return to your body, and indefinatly be stuck in the astral world, and never actually die, which is a bad thing, untill someone who does it for a living that releases spirits from realms to where ur sup[posed to go when you die. But either way, you die, so thats not such a good thing. My question is, is this something that is fact?, and also can it be prevented. For example ive heard or things where you are first supposed to meat your spirit guides before you project, for they will help protect you, etc.

I am a shaman and have been astral travelling for many years. There are many scary stories. They are lies. Most of them are spread by people who have tried to AT and failed. Other are by ministers of the christian religion who do not want their members to know more than them about other levels of existence or that know nothing about AT and see it as a wicked New Age practise. Is it possible for someone to experience astral projection without having tried to experience it? There have been times in the past, multiple times, that I felt I was out of my body and "flying" around the area. It felt so real and I felt so great and I was really bummed when I actually came back to reality. One could assume that it was a dream, and I'm not saying it's anything other than a dream, but the fact that a similar experience is found in astral projection leads me to wonder if what I actually experienced was that. Needless to say this is now a subject that really peaks my curiousity. On a different note my uncle at one point a long time ago told me about an out of body experience he had had. He floated up and looked down and saw his body. He said it freaked him out and he wondered if he was dead, but he wasn't and came back to after a while. He said he never ventured far from where he was though. I don't know if that story is true or not, but he's not notorious for lying so if it wasn't it was good enough of a dream to fool him. Well I'd appreciate any response, provided constructive, to this post. Thank you very much, have a great day, and for those of you who may already experience it "happy flying". If anything in this post doesn't make sense, know it's because I'm new to the subject, and any knowledge shared is appreciated.

The twitch in your body you experience was probably the result of sleep jerks that accure while falling a sleep. I sometimes get them as well, it almost feels as if your brain does a cold reboot.

everytime I attemp to astral project and reach the stage where my body starts to lose its feeling, I can feel something on my third eye chakra and loses it as soon as I move my body or stop AP attemp. it's not muscle nor painful. I just don't know exactly what it is. does anyone experience this too? does this has something to do why until now I can't project?

TO ANONYMOUS: To answer your first question, Yes, it is very possible to AP when you are not attempting to. I have only had a couple of experiences myself, and all of which happened without my conscience will to do so. I have tried numerous times to project with awareness at the time I separate from the body, however, I have still been unsuccessful at it. Each of my experiences has to do with me waking up out of my body unknowingly, and sliding back in. Also, as for your uncle, he definitely had an OOBE. Even if he was dreaming it, then he was actually doing it. And for your Q?, THE CRABB: Yes, I have experienced astral projection for myself. No, I am not endorcing anyone's book, nor do I have a website. Though, I admitt, I have not thus far been in control of those few experiences, they did indeed occur. If you are looking for a good source of reference as to how, why, and when OOBE's happen, I suggest you take a look at the research done by the Monroe Institute. (look for their info by browsing the web) I'm not directly promoting their ste, but, if you are truly interested in the scientific study of such a practice of astral travel, then they have done enough comprihensive experiments on the subject matter that should apese your wonder. Hey, I have been reading about OOBE's for a while and have tried to do it myself. I have been un successful thus far but I do have a question. Some of you have said that you have had an OOBE unwillingly, well, a long time ago I used to have these dreams, and while I was in the dream I would be aware that I was dreaming. Does this mean that I had an OOBE unwillingly?

No you call that a lucid dream, it is posible that you can leave your body from there, but respect a lucid dream for what it is.

A.P Hmmmm. On Sunday nite , I found a book on my parents book shelf , called Astral projection for beginners, I read the back and got interested. This book is really good , it talks about cases of other people haveing the experiance and being able to control it , people all through history. The book is by Richard Webster (incase anyone is interested). I am 17 yrs old , this book explains everything in good detail and covers all the questions I have, it talks about the astral plane , your bodys , and gives advice on rituals that you can do to protect yourself, from anythin evil , although the author says he has never need to use them. This book is amazing :D , I asked my dad about it , and he started to get worried , he told me to be careful with it and not to talk to people about astral projection , to my amazement it seems that my own dad :D has tried to astral travel, and he talked me through wat happens. I read some of the book , and read about mind projection , this is wen you send your mind to a room , on monday nite , in my room I did wat the book told me , breathed relaxed as it said and imagined somethin that helped alot . It felt like my body had gone to sleep , I was concentrateing so hard in my head , that I realised that I was no longer in control of my body , my breathing changed , it was an amazing feeling , I saw lights behind my eye's these faded and then darkness came over my mind , I swear down It felt like I was gettin lighter and floating. This properly freaked me out and after about 3 seconds of "Floating" I took control back , it felt so amazing and all day today I have been at skool wanting to get home so I can try it agen. So hopefully tomorow i will be able to tell you if anythin has happend , i'm tryin to project my mind to my garage. Small steps :D :P. Laters

someone advised someone else earlier to take ketamine to AP. most drugs interfere with the ability to AP. also why the hell would anyone want to take animal tranquilizer?

I started trying to AP for about a week now, and what i know about drugs(which is alot) is that there are drugs to help yu AP not for the purpose to AP but to help it , like sleeping your body so you wont feel your body as much, and others to ease stress and so forth. Theres (hypnosis)tapes for AP and other kinds too, if i cant astral project for a long time i will take the step for tapes, also yu should try to improve your memory for many reasons, once yu AP yu will need your memory for imagining and even for your steps when AP, theres tapes to improve memory too, which i will buy in the future, you can buy the tapes over the internet just go to google and browse ive heard this step to AP and its called the rope(ing) techniqueone of those 2 im not gonna say how its done but it hasnt worked for me obviously cause i barely started, but its the best technique so far to date yu just pull on a rope easy as that but theres more to it so find out more i do not recomend pot cause it really sucks when yu need yur brain when i was smaller, when i was having a dream and waking up, in the dream i was holding something, so when i was waking up i can feel the thing in my hands sometimes i opened my eyes and if i concentrate on the object of my dream i can feel it but not see it i believe that was a lucid dream and i havent had that experience since 11 i think now im 17 i also heard the a good way to AP is to be able to make yur own dreams(lucid dreams) that way yu can sometimes wake from the dream to have an OOB experience like a gateway to AP (just like weed) i know the techniques to have lucid dreams and to do everything there is to do but i havent really put much work into it i guess lucid dreaming should be learned first if yur having trouble AP for a long time or a newbie all of what i know is in the internet

Hi my name is amanda i am 15. about two weeks about i tried to astral project, i didnt know at the time exactly what it was. since i was about 13 i have had very vivid dreams and i get to a state when im not totally asleep and my whole body shakes and i can control my dreams. sometimes i find my self in my friends dreams and like i will tell them what i dreamed and they say they had the same dream. then i realized hey no one else is being able to control there dreams and actually shake and like seem to leave there body when they sleep(at least none of my friends). about a week after my 15th birthday i started being able to sense things that were about to happen and they actually happened, i am very freaked out i havent told any of my friends or relatives. i need your guy'z input on whether i should take this as a gift, and if i should tell my friends i dont want them to think i am weird. amanda

hi there. one thing you should remember while listening to presets for OOBE is "not to focus" and "not to fall asleep". ALMOST all the presets here are effective for me, they all induce that tingling sensation and numbness after a few minutes but when i try to focus and think "huh, is it starting?...yey, i'm gonna have an OOBE" it suddenly stops. this preset section(for me) is more effective than that of the chakra/stimulation section - i would choose it if it had worked one me...

hello, i have never before even thought about astral trawelling until i read a book that i found in my brother's bedroom, after i read the book, i thought to my self, and afcors i remmemberd, when i was about 7 years old me and my family went on a holiday in my country to a well known beach, when there we booked a hotel room and everything,, after a few days we all got baddly sunburned,i was soo sunburned that i could hardly turn on my back, the day we all got sunburned i slept in my parrents bed, i was right in between and was sleeping on my tummy, i remmember that i got up from my self and felt as if i could fly, at this time i felt no pain of my sunburn,i remmeber getting up, and i could see my mom and dad and my self still sleeping, i was free so i got out of the bed and i felt like i could drift around the room, so went to my dads bedside and i could see a little light in the corner of the room, i went there and saw tiny little sleepers like barbie doll size i started to play with them they were all differnet colours and stuff, than all of the sudden i looked at the bed when my dad started to turn around to make him self comfortable and at that moment i opened my eyes and felt a slap on the back and heard a noise like( the noise when u are freezeng cold and u go brrrrr) i didnt make the noise or anything but heard it in my mind loud and clear i asked my mom, did u hear that, she said go back 2 sleep, so i did,,,, anywayz now im 15 years old and i can remmeber it sooo well, i dont know weather it was a dream or something else! but in the book i read it sais when u return u may feel a slap on the back and u may hear a noise,,, by readin this, it is what made me tell u this particular story i had experienced....

I was about 18 years old when I tried to AP, I felt a vibration just as the body felt heavey. I heard a loud click must be in my head. 1st Time that happend I ended up having 3 hours sleep cause, due to that click gave me a fright. Do u know what click could be? 2 Can epileptics do it too. as I was told not to due to the brainwave changes.

I have heard a lot of stuff about astral projection. Now don't get me wrong, I believe that the mind has the power to do some crazy things. But I also know it can make you believe crap like this. I mean come on, "Astral planes" and "Demon spirits" walking around. Do something more productive like Tai Chi for the whole mind and body experience. This is just a waste of time.

This morning my mother called me and said that while her and my stepfather were sleeping last night they awoke to a loud boom. Both jumped out of bed simotaniously, but found nothing to account for the noise. All three dogs and one cat were completely asleep as though nothing had happened. In the morning, they spoke with all the nieghbors and no one had heard anything. I've heard that a loud boom, like that, is often associated with OOB experiences, but to happen to both of them at the same time??? Any ideas on what that could have been? Also they just moved into the house and I believe the house may be haunted. Could that have anything to do with it?

I never knew what astro prjection was, the first time it happened I thought I was crazy because all I could see was gray and this red devil face and all of a sudden it felt like someone was shaking my mind. Then I woke up. The second time I was sick from school and I fell into a deep sleep, in my sleep for some reason I heard my mom come home through the door (she really didn't) but it sounded like someone was in my house. I started vibrating and I thought I was having a seizure, I got scared and in my dream was trying to pull open my eyes but they wouldn't open. Then I woke up and I felt almost stunned. And last night it happened, It felt like I was falling into blackness or someone was pulling me into a different world like a spirit or something and all of a sudden I started rotating and spinning over my bed and my body had a tingling feeling in it. Some people probably don't believe this and I don't blame them, but it's really true. I guess it only works on some people, I never purposely do it.

Yeah I also have tried to Astro project after reading a book on the subject. On about my 10th night of trying this I actually got my sole out of my body and found that i could comand it where to go and what to do. I got up straight away and went to turn the light on and nothing happened so I went out in the hallway and tried that light on. Again nothing. When I turned around and sore my body still in bed I freaked out and tried to wake up. But my body was frozen and I couldnt move. I thought I was dead. I was screaming for help and banging on the wall in my astro body. I was trying to wake someone in the house so they could shake my body to wake me. When I finally woke up everthing was ok and back to normal. The next day I asked if anyone heard any banging noises last night. No one heard a thing.

when my bro first told me about AP i laughed my head off cause i thought it was so stupid and fake. But he showed me a way 2 AP and i tried it out. I woke up in the middle of the night and i remembered what he had told me to do. So i closed my eyes and focused on the black i see when you close your eyes. Then my body felt tingly and i opened my eyes and i relized that it was sucessful. But i was scared cause my room was flashing red.....how lond does it take 2 get over this scared feeling?

This preset is great, it takes me to the.. "tingling point" very quickly. I'm new to actually trying to astral project- I've been wanting to do it for a long time for the sake of seeing what the limits are in them, but I never knew how to go about it. I can only get to the heavy and tingly feeling.. I never saw any flashing or visions, though. Sounds scary, and makes me hesitant to try more. :P

Hi Guys, I was just awake and did some surfing and came across this site. Yes i can AP when i want...this can really happen. There are a lot of guides out there which are useful but i really think it is subjective approach to every individual. I first came across AP when I was in high school - i had heard about it from friends but dismissed it. A number of years ago i was about to nap in the lounge room when i thought of trying AP. This is my experience. 1. I thought in my mind i wanted to AP 2. I breathed and relaxed thinking of nothing but letting my body go 3. I heard this buzzing noise in my ears like when you change the frequency on a radio 4. I felt like a huge mass was lying on top of my body...i was paralysed but could think...this was a very scary stage 5. I let myself go and imagining myself floating away from my body 6. It happened...and i started seeing my brother in the kitchen filling up a yellow ice cream container with water, who i yelled to and screamed at to see if he could hear me 7. He obviously did not because there was no response. 8. I was immediately pulled back to my body after this and when i awoke i saw my brother in his room wiping down his mirrors with the water from the yellow container. This is an honest testimonial and i know it sounds quite bizarre but AP is real. Since this experience i have had many more...this is also the first time ive written about this experience! Hope it is of interest...

Someone posted about Ketamine. Ketamine helps to Astrally project very heavily and is very helpful in that regard. It can be a very dangerous and in rare cases lethal drug causing you to vomit all of your bodies water and perhaps die. I have heard of no deaths related to ketamine overdose. Take drugs responsibly and with a friend if you will do them. Dont do drugs if you dont want to. They can be very dangerous and generally are not helpful to the human body. Peace. Gam

any drug taken with out a doctor's opinion and knowledge is lethal, for every individual has a different health situation and tolerance for certain drugs. It would be ignorant of anyone to recommende drugs without medical health information of individuals they are recommendoing it to and if they are not a physician. AP's are no doubt real. I have been having it for years now and that too unwillingly. It happens when it has to. I have had strange experiences. From evil to spiritual. The beginning of these experiences were marked with doubts and i was really scared as I always felt that when my unconscious mind was awake, some evil forces were trying to hurt my astral body which could not come out then. But i always felt someone slapping me, trying to pull my hair, my hands, legs etc. when there was no one in the room. That was the beginning when i realised that there is something othr than my body that the word "I" contains. Now things aren't bad. but, my question is, does anyone know what happens when you see a soul (Good/bad) at that time when you're trying to astrally project and secondly, if you see your spiritual master then is it to ensure that you are safe so that you can fly high. because, though i'm able to AP, I'm still scared to do so as i don't want any wrong consequences to be faced by my soul later. please email me at meerakaura@gmail.com

Not true, about Ketamine. I had someone very close friend of mine die from a Ketamine over dose. He was also trying to use it for Astral reasons. Cops found him the next day dead on the couch. I definitely would not suggest trying it. The best way that I've found was to relax and make sure no music or anything is on to distract you and bring you back to the real world. I astral all the time... and without any drugs. Good luck and please hear my advice. :)

Hello, I have not given my name for some reason's I don't want to mention, but for all you how are astro projecting, I give you a warning.... I have been astro projecting for 8 years now, and can at the will of a thought. I urge you all to stop!!!! You have an innocent mind, God created us this way for a reason! Once you have ventured to far into the astro world you will see more than you bargan! I have told my friends how to do it properly and 3 went crazy thinking they were able and wound up in a mental hospital, thinking they could do the things I can! There is nothing in there but misery and suffering, which will lead to suicide! Ask yourself, are you smarter than the devil? The Devil will come for you, I hope you have God on your side, cause I never really knew God until the things I saw and have done! I have not let my contact details for 2 reasons. hey Mr. X, stop scaring people by sayin all da bull about projectin nothing u said its tru, if it is then we would not have so many people talking about ur topic, but there not. Most of the people that have had AP expeareces have had no physical harm. well if you say peple have an innocent mind,so its harmful to AP, then when you started was ur mind not innocent? lol or did u have some special powers that enabled u to not go crazy? I don't even think you know anything about AP, go read books and articles man and tell me if they talk about this crazy thought of yours.

I found it exciting at first and I know how you all feel about it. Its an alternate reality that no one understands but the person living it! I used to tell and prove it to people, and people didn't want to know once they saw! You become an outcast to society because no one understands why and how its possible. I am sorry! Hi, Im 18, whilst growing up, I think I have astral projected, which was no journeying really just fun like floating down stairs and running back up to do it all over again. At 14, someone, or something woke me up, she looked liked an older version of me, but the more I tried to see her the more she faded, but she was calling my name, she didn't frighten me though. I have also had dreams, which weren't dreams and have spent hours on waking desperatly trying to get back there for personal reasons. I have had dreams about kingdoms and an older man teaching me how to fly (and being told off for using my powers during mini tornadoes, it was difficult but I could levitate myself by visulising and pushing myself off the ground with my hands). I am a very odd girl, and have a lot that I feel I need to accomplish, its as if I learn more each night about everything. I have felt like I have fallen floating when I wake up, literally falling back to bed, I experiance ringing in my ears when fully awake, I have experianced vibrations and shaking when falling asleep, and have woke up paralysed in the past these are really strange when you dont know about astral projection. But now, at 18, I have decided that I need to take control and rememember these jounernies and meet various people to discuss the future, I guess. But one problem I am having though, which stops me progressing is that when I am vibrating (and also when I woke up paralysed) my ovaries and womb ache like mad, I mean the pain is so hurendous I bring myself out of it. When I was paralysed it was like needles being stuck in me and I was screaming with my mind, it took all my effort to scream a gods name and this released me back into body, completely unaware of why I was in that state. So I guess my question is, why is it hurting me to vibrate? I would like an answer to this because I need to progress conciouslly and remember whats going on, because time is running out, and I still have things I need to learn and master. I know my life is on the line here, but part of me knows that no matter how many times I die that I'll keep coming back to sort this mess out......does anyone know why there is pain in my ovaries and womb, and how to overcome this......Mr X, this is addressed to you, as you seem to have had the most experiance in this, know that my heart is pure and I am with God as he is with me, I dont understand what is happening and have only just (in the last 3 days) decided to take control of this. With all due respect, Mr Knight, there are good and evil where-ever you go on which ever plane, or galaxy or time. It is very important to always be "fully awake" and have a pure heart in your trips, if your heart is not pure then you will end up with a soul cancer, which might be why some people end up insane, impure thoughts, really are the devils weapons. If your heart is pure and you wish to learn good things and do good things, then you will be protected by the good. However, if it is for selfish reasons that you are projecting, and your heart is impure, well, you play in the devils playground, so don't be surprised if he adds you to his toy collection. It is not something or someone that is good or evil, it is all neutral, it is your heart condition. Pure heart = ok, Impure heart = not so ok, stay in your dreams. I mean this in the nicest possible way, if you wouldn't take on a villan with a gun in this life, do you want to risk it in another?

hey guys ya just earlier about say at 12 30 i tried to astral project and i think i cam close. i was thinking of a high pitch droning noise i heard once from a program thats sposed to induce projections. the actul program didint work for me it just got me into the numb state. well in my head i could slowly hear it getting louder ( iwasent really listenign to it i just thought bout it) slowly i started to tingle and it got louder and higher and faster suddenly i felt a wave of adrenalin and it felt like i was rushing forward or something i coudlent control my body anymore it felt likea rocket was taking off under my matress and i coudlent move it was going so fast. i felt a tingliong rush up my body and a light headedness i was to scared to move the noise went away and i coudletn hear ANYTHING not even the rain not even my rother and his friend in the enxt rooom laughing and screaming.. just utter silence except hte buzzing in your head u hear at night... slowly it all faded back to normal i was scared and shooken up but at the same time i was liek COOL! Can anyone explain this to me?: Okay. I was sleeping last night, and then I was having a lucid dream. I was listening to a talk radio station around 3 a.m. when i was having it. When I tried waking, i couldn't. But the strange thing was I could actually see my body from a remote location (above my bed). But it was like having two visions. One was eyes on my physical body, and the other on my astral body. And then, i tuned into the vision on my physical body, and i could literally see through my eyelids. I could see the ceiling, but everything was a monochrome grey color. This freaked me out, so i tried my physical body, and i was paralyzed. So i figured i should calm down, and then i tuned back into my astral body, and i could see 360-degree vision! I could literally see behind me as well as see in front and the side of me. The whole duration of this astral experience was about 2 minutes, and the weird thing was, that during the whole experience, I heard a loud, droning, almost hypnotic droning sound.

i was talking with someone the other night about this and we were wondering if it was just a sleeping disorder or if it could be something else. i haven't done this in a long time but i used to lay in my bed alot thinking i was sleeping but then realized my eyes were open and i had no idea how long my eyes were open. i did this alot actually but i have no idea what was going on... does this have anything to do with astral projection? it was normally like really early in the mornings like 3 or 4am.

Last night I saw something enter my bedroom where me and me partner sleep. It was like I was half sleeping and half awake. It floated through the closed bedroom door and over to my side of the bed and hovered above us. I could not wake but I was very scared. I tried my hardest to wake up and finally I did and I woke up screaming and jumped twisted my neck at the same time turning on the light, but nothing was there. Was it me? I was so freaked out I started crying. I can remember an instance once before this happened when I was young. It was the same exact thing. Does anyone have any input? Help!!

Hi, so I have a question. While I am definitely not a stranger to lucid dreams, I think I might have been experiencing AP and just not realizing it. Ok So I dont even know how to describe it. But at least once a month I'll be dreaming and for the most part its a calm dream. Then I feel like I'm rushing torwards my body...or whatever. And on inpact I always feel like I have bounced or truelly hit the bottom. And I always remember rubbing the bed...I, think to anchor myself because of how disoriented i feel afterwards. Its hard to explain. What would you call this?

I have never succesfully projected, by I try to learn about projecting all the time. Mick, when you project, you have no organs (no eyes) its mental, so you have a 360 degrees, some believe more whilst your body has 220. I remember someone telling me (I have a few friends who have projected) that they once projected and went outside and sat on his roof observing, he realised he was aware of his body, so he went back inside to see and then he saw his body, it made him feel ill almost, the physical body's eyes were closed but he could see the projection. he saw the real him and the projection of him. He said this was a vision of duality.

Hey guys. Alot of people have been mentioning when they come back into their bodies, and sometimes out of lucids, they are paralysed. This isnt anything to get scared about (it is freaky though!) Sometimes you can be mentally awake, but it takes a while for the synapses to start back up, thus the paralysis. If it ever happens, stay calm. Another thing that may happen while paralysed (from my own experiances) is that you might see things (aliens, monsters, etc) near or around you. It is basically a dream. Because you are not fully awake, your subconsious mind can still play tricks such as that. I have only twice AP myself, and both times were involuntary. Luckily, I had read up on AP and I got into my body with no drama's, other than not being able to move when I awoke, and being surrounded by monsters/demons until I could move. And I have heard from a few friends that so-called "Spirit Guides" are actually demons. In the bible, demons are fallen angels. They have an outward appearance such as an angel. They appear as handsome/beautiful men and women. My friends have had "Spirit guides" and they turned out to be demons. One of my friends killed himself, and the other is seeing a shrink every tues and thurs. Be VERY careful what you do! Be careful about who you talk to and who you trust. Remember that even in life, evil people can come in the most beautiful packages. The same goes for the Astral Plains.

The question I have about the experience below concerns "remember a tremendous jerk within my mind----almost like something automatically was occurring that was a natural part of the dying process" After this experience, I always thought maybe we are pre-programed bioligically to release a tremendous amount of brain chemicals during times of extreme danger or impending death. This enables us to leave the physical realm and to experience what is always potentially part of us but not actualize. Actualization requires a stress event, imminent death, etc. What do others think? My Near-Death Experience I can’t remember everything in detail since it was so long ago. I was around 10 years old or so. My family was at a State Park and I was swimming in the lake. At that time I didn’t know how to swim--so you can say I was just “playing”. Since I tended to be somewhat mischievous I kept going out into deeper water. I intended to stop once it was up to my chin area. What I didn’t realize was that there was an immediate 5 foot drop-off just after the area enclosed by a line with buoys on it. I went immediately under and was fighting to get to the top. After thrashing around for a short period I distinctly remember a tremendous jerk within my mind----almost like something automatically was occurring that was a natural part of the dying process. And then suddenly I was outside of my body floating in this semi-conscious state. I was completely content and was not struggling anymore---in fact, I was unbelievable happy and felt like I was enveloped by a loving presence. The next thing I remember was my father dragging me out of the deep end into the shallow area. Quite honestly I was disappointed because I did not want to leave this state--I was so happy there. My father got me to shore and I recovered. He came into the lake with his clothes on and then when he was out of the water he started taking his money out of his wallet and drying it on the sand. I remember him saying “you were just about a goner.”

I have read alote of these comments,and as funny as it sounds, I found most of them bore some. I do not mean that in a offence of any kind. I started Astro projecting at as early as 11 years old. I have seen spirits, entities, goast ever sense I was 4. my parents were both cocerned at first untill I stoped talking most of the time. Because I had no friends when I was young cause I was Quote, "a weirdo". which I admit to. The spirt world nutured me, it became my second home, my "other enviorment". Which Im betting everyone reading this will say thats bad. And it just may be. At age 12 I found out I was Telepathic and Phycic, I would warn my mom to watch out for cars. give my Grandma what #'s would help her win things cause she gambled all the time. Tell my brother when he would fall even before he broke his thumb. When my mom would tell me to come down for dinner, I would Astro project myself down to see what was on the table and if I dident like it I wouldent come down. I would also finish peoples sentences, and in class I would laughf at their thoughts quitely. This also made me hated in school, in fact by the time I was in second grade I "Hated Humans". Which is very wrong. because hate is not a good thing. Its unhealy and unpure. But anyways, the most pleasent place I found to Astro project was in the back of the car when my mom or dad was driving. I learned to do this because I have a brother and sister that fought all the time and would squeeze me to the window and take up all the space. so I just started imaging running along side the car. then I started Imagining what it was like to drive, and I started puting myself in my moms or dads body and then looking out of their eyes, after that I jumped into other peoples cars astrally of course, and would sit next to them and sometimes tickle them and then I would jump in thier bodys and imagining looking through their eyes but then if they would turn for an exit I would have to leave and come back to my body. But almost imdiently I would go right back out and find another car or start runing again! It was the funniest thing ever!!! soon after I started doing back flips and front flips on the bridges and sitting on top of buildings all astrally. so all you astral travelers must agree it rocks!... But soon enougf when I got to the age 14 I started having problems.... When I was mad at my sister spirits would scare her. They would appear to her and make angery faces. and when one of my family members hurt me, things would cause them problem. And I felt bad about. but. I was mad at them. "And I know what im gunna say now is gunna sound weird", but then I started feeling watched all the time. I felt "people watching All the time". But when I finally started making friends in school which, go figure, happened to be gothic, I ended proforming my first "exercisms". The first time I did an exerxcism I was exhausted. In fact I almost passed out from exhaustion, I used almost all my energy tearing it out. but the funniest thing i reambered after I gained back most of my eye sight and power to walk my friend pointed out a detailed and i mean DETAILED imprint of a angry face on her pilow case. I lost a couple of my gothic friends this way and then I started to realize that things were only trying to get in my friends to talk to me. So once again I became a loner... But Im getting way of the subject of astral projection as I just Realized. Im sorry. But anyways. Enjoy the other world and the power of the mind. i was told they are night terrors and are due to trauma...i am 20 yrs ol and i get them all the time. i fall asleep and the next thing i kno i can barely breath and i have this overwheling feeling of evilness that i need to get away from but i cant cuz i have total paralysis over my entire body...sometimes i even see things...like something coming in the window (soemthing bad/evil) and like i said i cant breath really or move so that means i cant scream either...i just have to force myself to fall back to sleep. Sometimes i even feel like im dying. please someone explain to me what is going on...im afraid to go to sleep sometimes because i think i can also make myself have them by thinking about them way to much while im trying to sleep. I'll like force myself into a night terror. someone please fill me in.

I'm sorry if this was already answered before, but I am in a hurry to know and I don't have much time for reading at the moment. I was telling a friend about these dreams that I had like 2 days in a row and before I could finish telling the first dream she said astral projection. The dreams are I was falling asleep and then I started to feel this sensation like I couldn't really move. Like I knew my body was asleep, but I could see around my room. I wanted to move so badly but I just couldn't. I would slowly feel myself gaining control of my body and voice (because I was trying to yell). Then in one fluid motion I would sit up. This happend a couple times and every time I woke up I'd feel like a rush. Well, I have a room mate and he happend to have his girlfriend sleeping over that night. I went into one of those dreams again and I thought I heard her say "I wonder if he's asleep?" Then I tried to move to respond, but I couldn't. I also heard my room mate, but it did't didn't seem like he was talking to anyone. It seemed more like I was hearing what he was thinking. I know I heard thier voices clear in my head though. I asked him about it the next day and he said that they didn't say anything. The next night: This night was a little more strange. I was sleeping on my right side and I kept haveing the same dreams. So I figured I would try sleeping on my back. Low and behold, it happens again. Only this time I see a clear shadow standing at the foot of my bed. I get a lttle freaked out by this and try to move. As soon as I realize that I can't move again. The shadow runs up to the right side of my bed and all I can see is his right arm flailing up and down in a beating or stabing motion over my chest. All at the same time I'm waking out of this I start to hear this static sound with a womans high pitched scream. Now I've had these dreams before, but never with some shadow figure in it like that. So I told a friend. She told me that it was probably astral projection, and that what I saw was probably a shadow person. She said now that I talked about it I most likely wont see this figure again for a while. Some one wanna help me out please... I'm pretty confused.

hey Snaka, you most likely had sleep paralysis. It had happened to me and it is really scary, I have heard voices like that too. For awhile I thought I might be going crazy.. but after researching it on the internet, I found out that a lot of people have that and so I am actually not going crazy. I have also figured out how to get out of it if I sense it coming while I'm sleeping so I never let myself do that because it scares me. Boy... am I glad I found you guys. I've been curious about Astal Projection for quite some time now... but just recently have been doing my REAL HOMEWORK on it. Last night... er... early this morning, after reading for almost 7 hours non-stop about AP, I decided to give it a go. The temperature in the house was a little chilly, so I put on some extra clothes (maybe it was just me being really nervous about what was on the other side). Anyways... I laid back, and closed my eyes, and did the bit of the rope pulling for all of 10 minutes.... until it happened. The first thing that happened was my body started shaking so uncontrollably that I didn't know what to do, like whether I should keep going or stop, almost immediately after the SHAKING, not vibrating, my heart raced to an incredible rythem. It was almost as if I was terrorfied or just got through running a marathon. POUNDING AND RACING non-stop. This scared the crap out of me. So I opened my eyes. All was ok... then I closed them again and started the process over again. Same thing. SHAKING UNCONTROLLIBLY and HEART RACING/POUNDING. However... I did manage to "attempt" to overcome this, by still trying to climb the "rope". My body had a very very wierd feeling come over it. Almost like a tingle, then I could sense that I lost feeling of my hands. Then I ALMOST felt the paralysis come over me, but it wouldn't happen, probably because I was shaking so badly. This makes the muscles contract wildly... does it not? So any suggestions as to how to control the outrageous shaking? This is NOT vibrating, which some of you are probably thinking... I'm talking... SHAKING like I was about to develope HYPOTHERMIA. One more thing. I decided to go downstairs after the kids left for school and the wife left for work where it is dark and very quiet, however, it's underground, but nonetheless, I went there to try it again... but with the same affects as forementioned. Only this time... however, another "type" of feeling came over me... and I'm going to try and explain this as best I can without sounding rediculous. The new feeling this time was that of a "new sex partner" feeling. Not quite an orgasmic type of feeling, but more of an exciting rush feeling that you get when you are about to have sex with someone for the first time (without the help of alcohol). If someone could elaborate on this for me, since most of you in here are somewhat pro's at this, and this was my first time (unsuccessfully) I would greatly appreciate it. What about the demons that other in here are talking about. I don't want to go where I will be overpowered with demons and then get locked out in limbo never to have my soul return to me. This kinda makes me not wanna do it now. Are there really demons out there that can attack you and never let you back in your body? Man... what do you do in a case like that? Okay... tried again last night. No success. Thought I was getting there, but to no avail. Closed eyes... wife next to me, asleep. Crickets chirping in the background, but that's the best I can do is far as getting QUITEST. Was interrupted from time to time, but got right back into concentration. Felt a CHILLBUMP SENSATION come over me several times, but no vibration and no paralysis. Then I kept climbing that rope over and over and over again, sometimes my heart would start racing like a revved up engine, but that's about it... and then, sometimes, chill bumps. Sometimes I thought I felt my body starting to get heavy... but whenever I would notice a "sign" of getting closer, I would lose concentration but then get RIGHT BACK TO IT. This ROPE thing... I'm pretending that I'm climbing a rope... but I'm not actually climbing it in the sense of moving UPWARDS... it's more like I'm pulling on the rope towards myself... am I doing this wrong? Do I need to be ascending upwards in my thoughts? Do I need to actually see the rope and my hands doing this in my mind? I'm so lost out there. I want so badly to be able to do what you guys do.

Nick i just had something like that, expect it happened to me several times. I woke dismissed it as a numb limb (I have done a few astro projections before), but this last time just really shook me up i was laying flat i could hear me breathing but i couldnt move, i opened my eyes, and it was almost impossible to keep open, took me about 5minutes (clock was right there) to actaully get control. After binge drinking I would spend a day in bed recouperationg. (Sober) While my body was tired and my mind exhausted by not geting much sleep - my eyelids would begin to flicker and a buzzing noise would ensue. Slowly the buzzing noise would get quieter and quieter, until I felt as though I had landed on some kind of frequency - it was like falling thru radio frequencies until you found one that could take your weight; then all would go quiet and i'd wait for things to happen. I did this on holiday in Greece. There I was, in bed, late afternoon, all my friends had gone to the beach. So because I was exhausted and strangely relaxed, I'd open myself up to the buzzing, and as I said before; it would disapate, and I would feel like a bird landing on a telephone line and that would be me on a freqency (It can be quite hard to stay on a frequency as the least little thing can knock you off it) This particular frequency enabled me to hear the greek family who owned the room I was staying in as clear as a bell, everything came thru in English although they had never spoken English before, so I had no reason to believe the entire family could speak English. This went on for a few hours - I think - listening to them all arguing, and thats what they did most of the time. Later that evening, the owner of the local taverna came into my room and told me all my friends were in his taverna, and wanted to know when I was coming down. (He had a gin and tonic - for me) I put on a pair of shorts and made my way down to the taverna with him. I sat at a table with my friends, and we ordered a meal. At the bar I heard two girls slagging off a girl at the other table - real nasty stuff. I got up, walked over to them, and gave them a good rollicking - they were flabergasted - I about turned and sat next to my friends, who, were also flabergasted. I told them what the girls were saying. They said that they didn't know that I could speak fluent German, I said I don't know any German; they said I was speaking out-loud in German, I said I wasn't, I was speaking English and so were the girls. They said the girls and I were speaking German. I can only put this down to the owner of the taverna interupting me while i was still in "The zone" so-to-speak. I stopped hovering because each frequency had a different thing to offer, most good, some bad.

This started with me a few years back while I was stationed in Germany and from that point on I started studying a little about it here and there.... I am aware that it has been becoming more and more frequent, and will say possibly several times a week... However from my personal experiences, whether it be good or bad, I am amazed by OOBE nd will continue trying to educate myself ... My experiences are very detailed but my question is regarding others.... Some people have no idea whatsoever that out of body possibilities exist. I have 2 friends that have mentioned about dreams of flying to me, and so I brought up the topic of a.p. Is this even the right thing to do? There are very afraid of it now, and I continuosly get calls with questions about their oobe's. Is It better that somethings are left unsaid? I feel responsible for opening a door and am not sure if this is the best thing? The dreams may have bothered them but they would most likely have forgotten about it, where now the questions about a.p.,have them freaked out... I am trying now to help them understand and not be afraid, but wander if these topics come up, should I just never bring up a.p.? or is it better they are aware of the possibility? Hope this makes sense! =) and I appreciate some advice especially if someone has an experience similar.. xoxo

My mother is really sensitive to this type of thing, and she once astral projected above her dying aunts body.... The problem is she also was able to feel her aunt's pain. That scares me.

One time I was astro projecting and i made it out for the first time. I was thinking to myself "Don't think of anything evil, Don't think of anything evil" because I read on a website that if you think of something evil, evil will come to you. But i tried not to think of anything evil, but i did... I saw thing red, devilish-looking thing, with glowing green eyes. He had shard nails that came to a point. I started to fly away, then it started running towards me, and started flying. I git back to my body, but it scratched me right before i got in. When i got out, i had a huge scratch on my arm. I never tried again, but tonight i willing to put my fears aside. Wish me luck, and remember, don't think of anyhting evil!

Can anyone help me, i have a strange episode that hapens about 5 times a week were ill be awake early in the morning and then all of a suden my ears will start to ring and ill be compleatly paralyzed. I cant move anything for even several minutes at a time. When i wake up my heart is racing because i remember everything that just happend, i remember not being able to move or even control my own breathing. Sometimes this happens more than 1 time a day. I am geting worried because i dont know what this is and lately its been happening more and more. O and i have not tryed any of these brain wave generator thingys.

Hey MrX, I just want to tell you that I understand where you are coming from. This is the first time I'm even looking up on astro Pro, but I have done it all my life. I finnally became aware when my astro body was being so beat up in the realm by others. I've been studying the realm for 5 years know and I do understand what you say about nowing too much, and being very scared. But there is one thing I must tell you - The truth will set you free - but only if embrace the one true God. Your heart must be of a pure nature to survive that realm. Peoples heart are naturally evil and their spirits do accordingly. But nothing can overtake the pure in heart, with Jesus 's authority by your side. Not even the heads of the church can withstand that. They say that satan is found behind the pulpit and I have come up against many powerful evil spirits. They want me dead, because I choose to do what is good. As to your fear of hell, I do not fear hell, because evil can not stand with light, goodness, mercy and forgiveness. The keys of survival in the realm. My advise to anyone who is astro projecting is to seek Jesus first before any projectings. The vibration you speak of before projecting, I believe is the Holy Spirit. Also when I go out, it is when the Spirit of God calls me to go, not my own will wanting to go. Out of body experiences can be very good for your soul, but remember always do good to others while you are there. It was created by God so that we may stand in the gate of others who are not strong enough to stand by themselves.

I have always been intrested in the unexplaned. Like Telekinesis, Pyrokinesis, and so on. AP seems like another paranormal ability and i want to do it so i can understand it. Because when i grow up i want to study all paranormal activity and i belive the only way to do that is to have been able to use those abilities in the first place. That is why i want to AP. I'v already been able to do pyrokinesis so i want to move on and study more into the amazing abilities our minds hold.

well AP really sounds like somthing id like to do but i have a couple of questions Is it dangourous is it real is there a limit to how far you can go from you body What if you go to far from your body like halfway around the world do you need to prepare for this like meditation if so what do you need to do how long do you AP are you automaticly pulled into your body or do you just fly back into your body how fast do you fly can you get "locked out of your body" do you see things really happening does it matter if you think of evil things

Pyrokinesis is were you can control fire with your mind. I can control fires on a match or a candle but not like a forest fire only someone whos spent there entire life on pyrokinesis can do that.

I heard about pyrokinesis from the videogame PSI Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and I wanted to see if it was real. So I went on line and did some research. One way to improve pyrokinesis is by lighting a match and try focusing on the flame. Hold the match strait up and try and focus the flame to stop. It took me about a month to get it right. Then after you put it out focus on relighting it. THATS ALOT HARDER!!! And thats how i do pyrokinesis.

a couple of weeks ago i had a dream that i was watching a movie with this girl i no. Later the next day, at school, i told her i had a dream about her. Before i told her what is was about, she said"Ya i had a dream about u to and we were watching a movie." and she named the exact movie we were watching! Does this have anything to do with AP or is this just a cowincidence? or is it something else i dont know about?

Hey, a great book about AP is "He Came to Set the Captives Free" by Rebecca Brown. I just want to let you know that when you go into the spirit world you open yourself up to much evil. AP is very dangerous because fallen angels are much more powerful than you and they are in this realm. Several times in my life i have found myself in that half state of sleep. My body is totally relaxed to the point of being catatonic. No matter how hard i try i can't move. I can see everything that is around me though my eyes, i know, are closed. This is the state where i see and hear things around me that i wouldn't normally. One time, when i was 20, i was in that state and i could hear someone walking down the hall towards my bedroom. My back was to the door and i tried so hard to turn over so i could see. It was a frightening experience as i couldn't move at all. I tried again and again and finally, i turned. At the doorway was a shadow of a person, a voice came from it and it said, "I love you." It then swept through the wall into my parents room and was gone. The next thing i know, my mother is at my door, i come fully awake and she asks, "Are you alright?" That shadow had awakened her when it passed through. I was again facing away from the door when i came to to answer her. We discussed what had happened then and i felt a little better. Then just last night. My fiance` had left for work around 3am. I left my front door open just a bit so our little dog could go out if she needed. It wasn't long after i went to sleep that i heard voices in the house. Two male voices. I thought that my son and my fiance`s nephew had returned from work, and i couldn't figure out why. Then when i tried to move, i couldn't. I heard one voice say to the other (it was the only thing that i could make out in their conversation) "Yes, but the door is open." They talked a bit more and then as i was looking at the doorway of my bedroom, i saw a man's head peeking around the corner. When he saw me, he withdrew. I tried again and again to move. I could see my hand move and move the covers back, but then i would end up in the same place that i was before. I almost brought myself out of it a couple of times, but slipped back down into the pit. Again and again, He peeked around that corner getting a bit bolder everytime. Then i cleansed the house as i had been remiss to do before and they were gone. I woke up at 4:30am to full consciencousness and went and closed the door and locked it. Returned to sleep and was awakened by my fiance` calling to tell me what was happening to Him on His job. I wonder what those two were doing there? and i wonder if it had anything to do with the happenings at His work. Sometimes... i just wonder

Truth is i never tried astro projection but i ,ve heard lots of stories. I think that i have expirenced before. hey agian, i just tried pyrokinesis and at times when i concentrated hard enough i got the flame to die out a little and sometimes even go out all the way. But then after the match goes out i wonder was that just a bad match? I really want to beileive pyrokinesis is real and that u (brock) can infact do it but i really cant until i actually see someone do it in person. And if u can infact do it, what technique do u use that u thinks the best. When i did it i tried the tunnel technique

im about to turn 18 and ive had oobe a couple of times now and each time i come out of them i shake badly. also since i was about 11 ive had really vivid dreams about things and then within a cople of days they have come true exactly as ive dreamed it, i cant really talk to my friends about this but has this happened to anyone else as it would be nice to know im not the only one who this happens to.

pyrokinesis is the control of fire like telekinesis is the control of objects and jason when u return to ur body and u start shaking, its nothing to worry about, its a natural thing that happens after or sometimes before on oobe.

Jerry dont think about it being a bad match just keep believeing that you are the one putting out the flame. It also works alot better if you use a candle. P.S. My technique is called the dancing flame.

I have just started researching about astral projection, and realized that i had been having lucid dreams since i was nearly 13 years old. I have always been interested in the paranormal and the idea that there is more to the world that what meets the eye. I've never officially (as far as i know) had an oobe, but just the same i've had the ability to do a great number of things in these lucid dreams but never the real "shaking" of astral projection and very little time to practice or even try the actual astral projection. On occasion, when i do have the time, i end up skipping right over the "shaking". I don't know anything about pyrokinetics, but sometimes i can "summon" air currents. I don't know if that is some kind of "kinetic" ability, but it sometimes frightens me, but is also an exhilerating experiance. From reading all these comments, i've learned a great deal. First, light a candel then watch it how it moves how it changes shape even though there is no wind hitting it. See it get larger and the see it get wider. Then focuse on it try to go along with the movments. And while going along try to change the shape bit by bit. This is called the dancing flame and its very useful for beginners.

So, im not 100 percent sure what astral projection is. but i was talking to someone about the way that i feel through out my days and he had said that it sounded alot like astral projection. but from what i read people enjoy this feeling. i do not try to feel this, but sometimes i feel like my body is going to involuntarly shoot upwards as if im on some sort of amusement ride. To me, it is not a pleasant feeling and i have never been able to explain the way it makes me feel. (it gets to the point where i have to grasp on to something physical to help me understand that in reality i am planted on a chair and not floating in the air) And i have never talked or heard about this until my friend had told me. Maybe ive got it all wrong...but i guess im just curious to know if what im feeling is in fact astral projection or if it is not. and if it is, why is just a creepy feeling for me? and how can i do this when i have never heard of it or want to do it?

I have just recently heard about AP from a friend, and i am very interested. After reading what alot of people have said i feel like i can relate to alot of these things. I'm pretty good at Lucid dreaming i have had about 6 since i started amonth ago, and i am getting better at them. I'm not sure if there are any similarities between AP and Lucid dreams but if there are i would like to know. Alos, i would like to know what this Plane that people keep mentioning is, i think it may be a way of interpreting the spiritual leaving of the body but i am not sure. Another thing is the noise you hear when approaching AP, i have in the past completly forgot and released my mind without even know what i was doing. I began to hear a high pitch ringing and all other sound was gone and then i would snap out of it. I was wondering if this had anything to do with AP. I'm going to start trying this because there is a part of me that needs to know there is somthing more than what is set in front of us, i believe and i just want to see what more there could be to life.

Five years ago I experience astral travelling for the first time. I had no idea what is was, but I was asleep and suddenly I was high above the ceiling looking down at myself sleeping. I knew I was safe and started to move around, I felt very light and free, I floated around my bedroom, into the living room and out through the door. I was excited. I went into my neighbours house, saw her cooking dinner, although it was probably about 3am. I was totally unjudgemental, I left and flew way above the roof tops, very fast, above the trees, across the rivers and above mountains. I was very free and observe the wonders around me. I ended up in Africa, and was amazed. Where ever I willed, I wanted to be. I was there, flying high. Totally free, I was having a great time, exploring, seeing other people. Observing and all the while being objective and non judgemental. At some point my mind suggested going home. Again I flew over the oceans, trees and now, dawn was breaking, dogs were barking and I flew in through my bedroom window and instantly was bonded with my sleeping body on the bed. I woke up feeling very refreshed and thought I was dreaming, but the memory and vision was so clear that I knew I wanted to experience it again. I never told anyone, cause they would think I was weird. But after that time, I would go on many travels, willing myself to go someplace. I even went back in time to medieval days, saw how things were before today and travelled many countries. Always abserving, never judging, and people I intereacted with were not strange. I always left and returned at dawn through a window or door. There is currently a commercial on TV that shows people sleeping and a butterfly touches them, floats out the window, way above the city and trees and finally the butterfly comes back through the window and rests on the sleeping person. That commercial is exactly how atral travel can be described. It's amazing!

okay my feeling on this preset.... I tried it a few min ago didn't get the full AP about 5 min I guess into listening to it I started to feel cold chills and my chest started to get really heavy..I would I guess say drift in and out and each time a feeling of anxiety came over me..I wasn't scared but felt my body wanted to stay in the state I was but couldn't keep it there...my arms where extreamly heavy as thou I couldn't move them..and for some reason and please..I hope other's have had this I keep seeing things...one was a triangle the other where 2 figures I come to think as women and I keep hearing voices...I believe in this stuff full hearted but at this point just looking for another's opinion..at one point I did feel my legs shake...someone please any advice would be appreciated...I'm going to include my email if anyone would like to contact me further..thank you

I have read many questions on this site, and think the best way to explain things is by telling some of my experiences. Brock, about fire I have but one experience. I laid down to bed one night, not long ago, and with my eyes still open, all I could see is fire. I was on my bed, but really my spiritual body was on the other side of the house in my kids room. The whole room was on fire. My Spiritual body started to get water to put the fire out, but it wasn't working. So instead I prayed to Jesus that he would not allow this to happen. I prayed to Jesus that he would make shore that my kids room did not get on fire. The next afternoon my neighbor came over to my house and said that the fireplace smoke was coming out of the wrong side of the chimney. My husband went up their and caught it before it started the house on fire.. The chimney is right next to my kids room. All I can say is that the things I see in my AP, OOBE, or Visions, or whatever you want to call them, always have a purpose and a reason.

I would like tell you about my 1rst OOBE experience that I knew was an OOBE. I say that because I think alot of people have AP or OOBE and they don't even realize it. About 5 years ago a 19 year old girl was going down the street at about 90 miles an hour. She shut off her lights before an intersection and plowed in the side of another car. I knew Her and I Knew the 2 young girls and 2 young guys in the care she plowed into. She (Jane) got flown to a big hospital, the other 3 kids were OK but the 4rth girl was pretty bad, but not going to die. Jane was not going to survive and everyone knew it. She was not well liked because of her drug addicted way of living. The other 4 kids were very popular and liked in the town. She was on life support and everyone was saying horrible things about her. I knew that killing herself, was a very bad sin in the eyes of God and I felt very bad for her eternal soul. All I wanted to do is go to her, so I nelt down in my room and begged God to send me. For some time I stayed on the floor pleading for her soul. Then I got up and lost all control of my body and I just laid down on the bed. I felt myself rising up and flying, within second I was standing on her hospital bed. I looked around and seen her lying their with the tubes coming out. My vision seemed to be able to take in the entire room. I prayed to Jesus to send angels to help her, then I told satan that I stand in front of her and if he wants her, he will have to go though me first. At that point a very dark shadow came and almost hit me off the bed. Then I put up my hands and started to almost shoot the dark shadow with the palms of my hands. Many shadows came flying at me. I stood praying and fighting them off. And on the vision from the back part of my head I seen Jane, who was risin out of her body in the arms of what I guess were angels. They were holding her and talking to her, until she started to cry. Then I seen her hold them, thanking them. Within seconds I was back in my body, peaceful and not wanted to cry anymore as if it was done. The 4 other kids were feeling very bad, because they spoke so horribly about Jane and then she died. The sister of one of the girls said that she woke up one night to Jane at the foot of her bed. She looked beautiful and dressed all in white with a glow. And all she said was to tell them that I made it. Don't worry about me I'm in a better place. No pain, I MADE IT. Astro Projection or Out Of Body Experience is not a toy. well, i must say. Ive read/skimmed through all these posts, and i really have learned a lot. I myself have only tried astral projection twice, for i didnt have much knowledge on it. And i didnt think it would be wise to try something like this without knowing a lot. The first time, nothing really happened. The second time however, was a different story. everytime i felt like something was going to happen, my body would suddenly, jerk. and it would snap my mind back to attention, id start thinking, then i couldnt do anything. kinda like, "ooh, im about to have an oobe!" then of course, nothing happens. Now that ive learned a lot more, i really would like to try it again. But now im not sure ill be able to. You cant go if you have fear or doubt, right? Well, hearing about "sleep paralysis" has made me reluctant to try it again. I dont want to not be able to move and see terrifying things like monsters, even if they dont really exist! So my question is this: Is there anyway to prevent sleep paralysis? Or learn to avoid it? Also, if i do find myself in such a state of mind, what do i do? I have just recently became aware of astro-projection. My sister told me about it after she was watching a show about it. Ever since I can remember I have had these "dreams", dreams where it felt like my body was paralyzed but my mind was still awake... then slowly as i got older i realized i could move around, it was the weirdest feeling because i swore it was real. I always mentioned it to my family but they never gave it any more thought than it just being a silly dream. Anyways just a couple months back my sister was watching a show about it and immediatly thought of me... she told me about it for she remembered me describing the signs of astro-projection as i told people about my "dreams". the brain is a interpeter of reality and recieves from the spirit four billion bits of information, per second. but the brain can only process about two thousand bits of information. another point to make is the brain does not know the difference between what it is expericing and imagining, not to mention what is the difference between perception, and dreams, and reality. the spirit exist in many different paralell realities and there for is not located within the body but works through the body. astral projecting is a percieved creation that takes you to the place that you have created and then visted. another point would be in order for you to project your spirit, you would have to know exactly what your spirit is in order to control it and if you are trying to control your spirit to project it some where that would suggest that there is something different then the spirit that you are trying to project and control.

Hello. The OBE's I have experienced brought me to certain information of great value to this world but in days to come. It seemed to have served a purpose in teaching or informing - revelating. I remember every detail, but there are too many to write here. None were at my will. I have tried before at will but it did not happen. I remember dreams all the time. I know the differences. Some dreams seemed real enough, but one thing was missing from that of an OBE - will. In the OBE you were aware of you will as in dreams it is dictated until it conflicts your desire too much. That is a huge difference. If you OBE deep enough or get gilt into astral like in an accident, someone may mistake you for hospital material and it takes you longer to conclude from the distractions of the astral world to find yourself in a hospital rather than the last place you remember - ACOMA! I would love to do this at will - any takers?

ive been reading up about this in the past month or so. Ive always been incomprehensibly curious about this whole subject. ive tried to project about 5 times. at least twice my body was fully asleep so to speak, and i could imagine myself floating above it. at this point i get this strange disorienting feeling, that i can intensify or create to some degree by moving my eyes around fast. this is the furthest i got. does anybody have any advice? the closest i got, 4th try, i felt i was being held back by my eyes and a bit by my breathing, the sensations of both were sort of keeping my attention.. or something anybody have any advice? much appreciated

Hello I am not sure what this was but I am still very freaked out till this day from it. I remember having a dream where I was in a emotionally cold room and I think someone handed me a mirror and when I looked into it at my face my mirror image was like a swirl mass or demonic looking face but without form and it made a horrible sound that I cannot describe. What I thought was weird is I normally don't remember dreams but this one was very vivid it felt like I was actually experiencing this. was this an OOBE? I still get tears in my eyes till this day when thinking about it but I don't know why because nothing has ever actually scared me like this before.

This Preset Is pretty good I've been practicing Astral Projection for a few months now but get afraid of the vibrations when thoughts of something came into mind something while listening to this preset it was literally zapped out of my mind with in 2 or 3 seconds I felt tingling sensations I'll practice more but this is effective to get rid of my fearful thoughts when I reach the vibrational state.

For some of you waking up unable to move, the answer is sleep paralysis. And i am one to talk. I have experiance Sleep paralysis for quite some time now, and my situation is a bit more severe, although i know it can be quite intense, and more then explanable terrifying... it is just a drea or what studies have called REM sleep, the deepest part of your sleep. At time you may sense, see, or feel a presence in the room. But for god sake its not really evil spirits, weather you have seen a monster or demon. And i should no, i have seen figures, sounds, aura's, and even floated outside of my body (uncontrollably). But just try and relax, i know its scary but should be over in seconds or within minutes of beeing paralyzed. Other things i've experianced is flickering of eyes, figures, beings watching me, chocking me, and attacking. A result might be loss of breath and a pin point pressure on your chest. And let me say it is the scariest thing ive EVER experiance, however over time i've overcome this and just hope my way throuhg and even learnt to enjoy it. One thing i'd like to add is how incredibally close AP and sleep paralysis are, they relate in some way so say studies from scientists but much different in cases. Recently ive been reading on AP, id like to explore the relams myself but am unshure of what to expect, any informatuion would be great on these evil spirit things or toehr things? :( . But other . PS: Sleep Paralysis is real... and AP aswell just lern to accept it and have fun, keep good thoughts, and for the paralysis just let it ride.. if you find yourself staring uncontrolabbly into a figure dont drive your self cazy thinking your going insane 35% of people experiance it often, almost everyone experiances it one a life time, and it usally relates to bad sleep paterns, set a schedule and reduce stress..... it all falls under the same category....

this is very interesting. iv heard of AP but OOBE but never realized that they could be learned or whatnot. one thing iv had constantly throughout many years is sleep paralysis. iv grown accustomed to them that when i do fall in that state, im not afraid of it cause i always believed it was my mind not fully awake yet (because i tend feel real physical movements from other things to me). the best way i found to get out of sleep paralysis is to constantly breath really hard and fast. but mostly deep breathing. im able to awaken faster and more effectively. however, i tend to fall right back in that state again.

So the other day i was watching the discovery channel and i had called my partner over so that i can take a hit off his pot.. I take it and continue watching the discovery channel. 20 minutes later i start feeling this sensation on top of my head. It feels as though ther's a beaming light of energy rising from the top of my head. It felt almost like a cone. well it was really strange because i felt like i could understand everything that was happening on tv.. Sure i was a lil high. I get that. But i had never felt that before... Well i choose to ignor it and continue watching.. After a few minutes i felt this weird sensation all over my body. It felt as though i was leaving my body. I felt my body leaving from my toes to the top of my head.. I imiddiatly called my partner.. i was pretty scared and didnt know what was going on. All through the night i felt this shakynes as if my soul wanted out. I felt like had to cling on to my partner the whole night in order to stay.. The next night i tried it on my own to see if it could be done again and i could but, i chickened out.. I dont really know what i experienced and id like to give it a try but i cant help being a lil afraid.. i fear that i wont be able to come back and that id leave a lot of love ones behind.. can you actually die off trying this? Ive been trying this the last few days but i always chicken out.

Kudos to the poster who pointed out about having a strong relationship with Christ and making sure you're going on such journeys under His care and authority, because the other poster's point about delving too deep and into the wrong places was also on. It would be hard for some to experience the thrills, and sometimes, horrors of the supernatural world, while still realizing they have to return to what we think of as "normal" life. God put a veil that, as a rule, separates people from being able to see what's in the next world for their own protection. I'm just as fascinated about AP as everyone else, and have tasted a bit of it myself. What I did experience was exhilarating as my soul was floating halfway out of my body...but I also realized that what was trying to get me out of my body had evil intentions. Does this mean I never want to do it again? No...but I want to make sure I'm ready and protected by Him the next time I do it.

Another experience I had two nights ago (before this posting): Throughout the night as I was sleeping, I intermittently felt/saw the electricity often associated with separation from the body. At one point during the night, I felt myself starting to leave my body and the powerful energy rippling through. I didn't quite make it out, but could see my bedroom though I was asleep with my eyes closed. At another point, during my sleep, I "saw" through my fleshly veil again, and it seems as though I heard part of a sentence my young child was thinking in her sleep.
