AwakeningMeditation1.1

Awakening Meditation 1: To become the advanced meditator

Notes:

* Use once a day, twice at most (seperated sessions);

* One of a series (planned;), where the carrier frequency is gradually lowered, to be used one after the other for a suitable time period;

* Base carrier in V1 (all segments) is 75hz, 41.5 minutes total running time

* Box X style progression from 12hz to .1hz, focusing on my favourite frequences for 1 minute or up to 3 minutes depending (most length is in the delta frequence);

* Possibly add another segment as a variation on segment B for a longer meditation

* Box X Method info found at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bwgen/files/Harmonic%20Box%20X%20method.txt

* This is my first preset, so if you come up with a revision, or spot any aspect that's a problem, or know a way to improve it, please, email me: chris_c_stewart@yahoo.com.au

Cheers

It seems to me that this whole series is a great idea, but that the carrier frequencies are started too low. I know that compared to the Holosync series this starts much lower and I'm not sure I get entrained with this first one even. I made a setting with 100 hz carrier and it was lower than the first Holosync disk. Has this one worked for other people?

yes, it worked fine for me - actually it worked so well, that i am going to sell this on CD, paying chris a royalty. but i am a pretty seasoned meditator, easily going consiously into theta - so for the commercial version we wills tart at 140hz.

i have also changed the background, for after 2 or 3 months of the tamboura file i now prefer some splishsplashing waves on a rocky coast. i switched to AM2.1 recently, an i love it every day.

Could you please post your splishsplashing wave please ? I tend to be allergic also to the tamboura now ;-)

Thank you.

Yeah, I too agree the background (if you listened to the little clip over and over) would get pretty ugly pretty quickly - personally I don't use it, but since I can't upload large sound files on tis wonderfully free provided service website, you might have to do like myself and most others do, which is make your own and change it to suit;) Thanks for the feedback, and best of luck using the presets! (oh, and yes, they're very strong... lighter verisons have been made for those who have only meditated for a few years - if you would like them, contact me).

Uh...you never put any warning signs that one might crap their pants during this preset. I have to get a new bed now because of this one. Thanks.

Love always,
Georgey

Oh yeah, thanks or the reminder Georgey - its a REALLY STRONG preset - light versions are avaliable unpon request;) If you've been using the bwgen for a year or so a fair bit it should be alright, otherwise you're likely to bring on some major healing crises... but its worth it in the long run;)

Chris: Upload the full background file to the unofficial bwgen discussion are then please??

Tried it, spaced out to liked it, now I want more. :-)

Oh, and one more thing. How is the progression from awak 1-6 supposed to take place?

What exactly am I supposed to notice? I tried both the Awakening Prologue from HoloSync and this particular file. I relax, close my eyes, clear my mind and let the sound come over me. Besides finding it easier to physically relax, I have not had any noticable results with either, even though I have been using them (seperately) for several months each. I didn't even get an increased need for sleep. I know my headphones are right.

Anyone offer any advice? I figured Awakening Prologue wouldn't work, since I am a pretty capable meditator, so I might have been beyond that level. But this one is supposed to be a lot heavier... :(

Several things come to mind Orion:

1. Maybe the sound approach doesn't work for you - it doesn't work for everyone. Perhaps try light strobbing?
2. Have you tried the stronger presets? Have you used them daily? It sounds like you have, in which case, double check your headphones (get someone else to use them?), and if that fails, answer one seems most likely.

Even if you have been a long time meditator, the 'forced' nature of the effects on brainwave patterns is quite pronounced. Actually, especially if you've been meditating for a while - you'll be more sensetive to them, not less. You'll get less of a high or stuff coming up, sure, but you'll notice the changes in brain state and clear fcus on particular frequencies.

Let us know how you go...

Funny thing is, the Hemi-Sync Gateway Experience does work with me. It's a slow process, but I do notice the distinct state changes.

I have been using your preset twice a day, before and after work. Like I said, it helps me relax. HoloSync states that the technique accelerates the process that occurs naturally when meditating for many years. That's why I figured I might already need a stronger preset than theirs.

Maybe I should remove the tamboura. I can chant it by myself now. :) Sometimes I feel like it's in the way.

Thanks for responding though, and the advice. I was beginning to think the thread inactive.

Used this preset last night (without the tamboura) and focused on releasing any emotions that came up (as I learned from The Sedona Method). It was very easy to release both negative AND positive emotions and it was effortless after that to get close to the Buddhist state of nothingness. But after 30 minutes I felt like it was "over" so I turned it off and went to bed. It felt like I had vivid dreams all night, remebering only the last one, which had special effects more realistic than a sci-fi movie. The dream activity was a little much--could it be because I stopped the preset early?

I have been using this all year and I too have the same problem where I lose the entrainment somewhere near the end. As mentioned long ago, I feel like this has to do with the carrier being to low to entrain to those slow delta beats. Its like the brain just isn't responding at that far edge of the audible spectrum, but it seems to work for theta binaurals. It makes me wonder what carriers Holosync or Hemisync use for their advanced levels.
