ERIKA - Etat d'extase 110 voices: 0.5Hz: delta range, dreamless state, unconscious reach-out and various stimulative effects on brain and thyroids; 1.5Hz: supposed effect on chronic fatigue; 3Hz: theta range, with increased reaction to time; 0.9Hz: euphoria; 1.45Hz: entrainment between hypothalamus, pituitary and pineal with possible effect on dyslexia; 3.5Hz: unity with everything, regeneration, DNA stimulation; 3.6Hz: calming effect on anger and irritability (I pleague guilty :-)) 3.9Hz: against unsocial behaviours/ favors meditation, inner awareness, lucid dreaming; 4.5Hz: shamanic state of consciousness/Tibetan Buddhist chants 4Hz: extrasensory perceptions and memory activation, solving of subconscious problems etc. Of course, all of these are "supposed to induce". What do U mean with aphrodisiac effect? Is this effect due to some hormons like oestrogen? If so then it's for women only and then I don't listen to it.

I this is really well done, very smooth. I immediately felt relaxed. Good work!

Maybe, but as long as I'm a man and there is no answer to my question. If a man would have said that it has an aphrodisiac effect it would have been something other than if a woman says it cause if a man says this maybe it produces some more Testosteron but if a woman says it then I don't know.

Ann, how can it not be affected by gender?... Men and women work in very different ways...and what chocolate does is shuts girls up when they need to be shut up (it's a choco-morphine kinda thing) Agent768 aka stonio |

I can eat as much chocolate as I can and it has no aphrodisiac effect and it also has no hormones. I know that when I got some "Testoviron", I was hornier than normal but I don't think that it would have had the same effect on a woman.

What are you afraid of, Brainbug? If it affects oesrogen and you don't have any it will have no affect on you. Have courage and give it a go! And Agent769 'girls need to be shut up'? Some lover you'd be with an attitude like that!!! As with any of the Brainwaves...you are always in control! If you don't like the effect...stop!

Euh... the aphrodisiac effect was reported by a male friend. It seems it had to do with one of the tones that, somehow, induced a pulsewave within his chest that echoed downward. BTW, males have oestrogene, females have testosterone but to a lower rate. If I remember well, the testosterone level rises up in women during menstruation - this is why men find some women agressive at that time, they just behave like men ;-)). So yes, oestrogene could be induced in men aswell as testosterone in women. But as far as a specific effect is concerned, remember this: eventhough all sciences try to picture a "norm", it doesn't exist. People differs in action and reaction. Hey, coffee makes me sleep, for instance! |

What the hell is ostrogene? I'm asuming you mean Estrogen, the female primary hormone. And if this preset raising estrogen levels, I want no part of it. Estrogen is responsible for the female's lack of rationality and tendency to wallow in emotions and mental instability.

"Estrogen is responsible for the female's lack of rationality and tendency to wallow in emotions and mental instability." WOW. That was completely absurd & ignorant. Sucks to be you doesn't it. |

high levels of estrogen in men has been linked to male pattern baldness

Excess estrogen gets turned into testosterone; in fact, thats where all testosterone comes from, if I recall correctly. besides, levels of those chemicals have absolutely nothing to do with sexual arousal. Plus, any emotionality, etc. characteristics of females would involve neurotransmitters and neural organization, not on hormones alone.

My theory in a nutshell: Testosterone is what makes humans horny, male or female. But also makes you manly, so theres a evolutionary trade-off between feminine females who get pursued for sex and more male-like females who want more sex. So theres a reproductive balance and selective mating is almost negligible (disregarding the complex human emotional processes involved with "mating").

Good answer Erika! I'll let you know what it did to me as soon as I tried it.

This one creates very intersting thoughts and visions to me. Somewhat sexual (maybe its just me). Thanks for posting this one. All of the tones seem to harmonize.

I realise that this post is quite old (it's September 24, 2006 now) and I might not get any sort of reply, but what the hell, right? Unfortunately, I don't have the "Brainwave Generator" program at this point, but I'd be highly interested in reproducing the same "pre-set" you speak of in another program I use, Adobe Audition v1.5. If you'd let me know some of the particular base frequencies you used and the duration of each, it'd be VERY HELPFUL to me in reproducing this preset. I'm not all that new to this stuff, but I still have quite a way to go in fully understanding all the different types of effects these sound frequencies can have on the brain and body. Hope that you'll see this post and respond. Thanks... Ed ...
