Increased reaction time...sounds nice.... won't leave me a nervous wreck will it???

It does not make you a nervous wreck but it does make you a little energetic.

Shouldn't it be DecreasedReactionTime, else you would react slower... and what do you base the preset data on?

3.0 Hz- Increased Reaction Time

7.0 Hz- Mental & astral projection , bending objects, psychic surgery; Increased Reaction Time [SS]; Mass aggregate frequency (can deaggregate matter), alleged to resonate & rupture organs at excessive intensity [TB]; Treatment of sleep disturbances [PGS via DW]

Did you even try it or just look at the frequencies Jonas?

zapper must be braindead... first of all increased reaction time is the opposite of alertness. reaction time, hence the name is how long it takes for you to react. you want to be alert so you want decreased reaction time, not increased. second of all no #6 effect is not as good as one as braindead as yourself would think

3 Hz would not mean improved reaction time because 3 Hz is Delta and thus associated with sleep, not alertness.

Increaced reaction time means it you will react faster and sooner. 30ft.PINKMONKEY your the braindead moron.

thank you for your support i do relaize that decreased reaction time makes more sense so heres new title : Faster Reactions

Improved Reaction Time would be better ... I think

zapper, if 3 hz is associated with SLEEP

then faster reactions, improved rection times, extra alertness, NONE OF THESE THINGS ARE TRUE...

if you are sleepy, your reaction times suck, why do you think the uk government spent millions on ads and billboards saying dont drive tired (alcohol has the same effect)

you guys can bitch all you want about frequencies, but have any of you even tried the the preset? it definitely makes me more alert and react more quickly. i think results are more important than how its done.

The best way to find out is to play it for a session every day while doing a somewhat less energetic activity (like surfing the web) and just don't think about it. Eventually you won't pay attention to the sound but its effects should still work.

hmmmmm.... all I can think of that MIGHT possibly work in this situation, is the 3, and 7 hz beats would quiet, and slow down the mind and body, making it more receptive and open to new stimulus, and decrease reaction times.

for example, if someone is trying to do 4 things at once (beta activity) they would probably score slower on reaction tests than someone who sat quietly and calmed themselves down for 20 minutes (alpha/theta activity), not because they are more alert, but because they are more relaxed. (forgot the baby in the hot car syndrome)

so you may be right zapper, listening to this preset for 5-10 min could help lower reaction times, but for the opposite reasons you thought. continued use WOULD put you to sleep, like everone else is telling you ;)

oh and one more thing, just because you read something on an internet site, doesn't mean its true. nearly everything you read on the internet is subject to interpretation, so take anything you see, or read on the web with a grain of salt, b/c it could most likely be complete BS.

It may be as you say in that faster reactions have been associated with a relaxed state. I believe that with any entrainment, results will be affected by environmental and mental circumstances, not to mention the effectiveness or non-effectiveness of the placebo or suggestion phenemenom. All of these are beyond the control of the BWG and evidenced by the fact that some programs praised and incredibly effective by some are panned by others as being totally ineffective.

I was listening to this while playing a first-person shooter, to see if i had quicker reactions in fighting. after about 10 minutes my hands got cold and i felt the need to breathe more. i could determine the source of enemy fire much better than before. after i turned it off and stopped playing it felt as if my hearing was much more enhanced. i could hear birds chirping outside and my computer fan noise was very crisp.

So I'm listening to this now and about to start up CS, on the drive home anticipating trying this I was a bit tired or drowsy at least and now I seem fully awake... so so far good results. Will post again in about an hour.

Ok, I was playing a reaction game, and my average reaction speed was .23 seconds... Not bad, but not good, either. After 1 minute of listening, my reaction time went down to .2, and after 2 minutes, it went down even further to .18! My reaction time improved by .05 seconds! Very nice!
