Response to: pascalsimons@hotmail.com questions and comments. If you've never had a chronic illness yourself, all this discussion falls into the realm of entertainment, but if you know someone that is over come by pain the Brain Wave Generator may benefit them. I'll try to answer your comments and questions as best I can. I'll start with the last comment first. COMMENT: a bit hard to believe, really... RESPONSE: Here's my morphine history. MS Contin/Percacet Dosage History All values plus 1400 mg of Percacet per day until 07/30/01 01/24/99: 30mg daily 03/14/99: 60mg daily 06/15/99: 100mg daily 10/01/99: 200mg daily 09/14/00: 400mg daily 10/07/00: 300mg daily 10/30/00: 240mg daily 04/06/01: 230mg daily 05/04/01: 200mg daily 05/29/01: 180mg daily 06/29/01: 150mg daily 07/30/01: 120mg daily 07/30/01: ZERO mg of percacet 08/08/01: 90mg daily 09/24/01: 60mg daily 10/15/01: 30mg daily 10/30/01: ZERO mg of morphine Yesterday I had 2 doctor appointments. One was with my oncologist. Every 60 days I get an infusion of Pamidronate. It shuts off my body's ability to break down bone. This disease is constantly breaking bone down and this infusion helps me to keep the bone mass I currently have. The other appointment was with my primary physician. I see him every 6 months for follow up testing. It is interesting how these doctors and all the others respond to me. They always say, "it's a miracle". And they look at me funny and truly enjoy the visits we have. My oncologist is also a teaching professor and he is about 53 years old and he told me he has never had a patient EVER get off long term morphine. The docs keep the people at 30 mg per day for life because he says that body just can't re-adapt without morphine. All of my doctors are in awe of what I did. I'm happy to share my complete medical record with any doctor that may wish to review my case. If you know such a doctor, email his office number to me, and I'll provide the doctor with my complete record, plus names and numbers of all my physicians which includes Mayo clinic (Rochester, MN) and Barnes hospital (St. Louis, MO) doctors in endocrinology, oncology, orthopedic, nuclear medicine, sleep study, and behavior sciences (bio-feedback). QUESTION: Is it a replacement for morphine?? ;) RESPONSE: I stopped taking morphine and continue to use the preset for any pain that rises up from time to time. Pain is gauged from a scale of 1 to 10. Doctors increase medication when a person's pain level is consistently 5 or above. About 8 weeks ago my pain level rose up and varied from a 6 to 8 pain level. 3 weeks ago I started using the preset again (first time in about 6 months) and now the pain level is a 1 or below. QUESTION: Wow, this sounds interesting... So... what does it do?? RESPONSE: That is a good question but difficult to answer in a few words, I'll keep this as short as possible. The major factor was not what the Bwgen did but rather WHAT I DID and the Bwgen helped me accomplish the goal. I'll start with some history about my illness. My first health problem began in November 1995. I got up one day and drank between 4 and 5 gallons of water, and the next day , and the next. I went to the old doc that I had and he did tests and said he didn't know why I was drinking so much water but if I was thirsty I should not force myself to stop, it might be dangerous. After a week of getting up to pee every 50 minutes and fill my self with water I was dead tired. Daily water consumption at this level continued until March of 1999 when the Mayo clinic diagnosed my condition as a rare form of diabetes, diabetes Insipidus (unable to regulate sodium). I use a nasal spray twice a day that regulates my sodium. Deprived of water for a 24 hour would drive up my sodium high enough for me to go into cardiac arrest. After the increased water consumption began many other symptoms started manifesting. The under lying theme was my QUALITY OF LIFE went down hill in a hurry. I'm a positive CAN Do type "A" personality that generally never got sick. From the beginning of 1999 I spent over 3 years almost exclusively in bed. My QUALITY OF LIFE WENT TO ZERO. As the pain increased (or maybe the morphine was less effective). The way docs view pain is on a 1 to 10 scale. When you are consistently above 5 they increase the dosage. When I got to 400mg per day I absolutely couldn't function. One day I was talking to my wife in the kitchen and I completely shut off for about 5 secondsand after I turned back on I said, "I'm going to quit taking morphine and my body ( I was pointing with both hands at my body and head) is going to think of something new to do. Me, and my pain, and God are coming together and if I have to die screaming I'm out of here." Point was, I had had enough. I WANTED MY QUALITY OF LIFE BACK. Everyone thought that was a bad idea except me. When I made that decision something strange happened. It was as if the light in the room had changed color. From what to what? I don't know, but I knew I was going to quit taking morphine. That was 13 months prior to getting to zero. I purchase the BWG in December 2000 and used it for 4 months and then in April 2001 I began notching the morphine down. With each notch down I went through withdrawals (lasted 7 to 10 days each time). The option of "NO OPTIONS" is powerful in a mysterious way. When failure is no longer an option something "new" takes its place. Morphine was no longer going to be an option for me, I would have to have something new. Now when the doctors first heard this they thought I was out of my mind. And looking back on it I think I used out-of-my-mind thinking to conclude I could do this. Here's a funny note. In 1995 I weighed 180 lbs., my normal weight. At my heaviest I weighed 285 lbs. Now I weigh 240 lbs. Getting this weight off is harder than getting off morphine, but it is next on my list. I supplement daily Androl gel (testosterone) it gives me the munchies. Time to focus the mind and get off the weight. So back to your question of what does it do. I have to be careful not to ramble off in 100 directions at once because the Bwgen was the convergent factor that allowed everything to come together for me. In other words I found something to hang my hat on. Theta frequencies allows the conscious mind to load information into the sub-conscious mind. Maybe I just loaded up my system with belief. Do I completely believe that? NO. The brain runs the body, somehow the Bwgen is helping it help myself. I'm a person of science. Daily vitamin C is important but many people say, " I don't feel any different," so they don't take it. People that take daily vitamin C are rewarded with healthier bodies, stronger immune systems. To ask the question, "what does it do?" may not be an adequate way to view what I achieved with the Bwgen. During my first of seven visits to the Mayo clinic they informed me that I was not a candidate for radiation. I thought radiation was an OK concept, but I did not want to take chemo. When chemo was brought to the table as an experiment with my illness my family was all for it, but not me. When I decided to take chemo (3 different sets) I agreed that I would let the chemo have at me and I wouldn't complain about any side effects that it produced. Chemo beats up a lot of good things. My condition got worse and Mayo took chemo off the table as an option. The point being I was open to the possibility of the technology. When I discovered the Bwgen I down loaded it and got after it. I was open to the possibilities. My system is now quite responsive to the Bwgen. I've shared my preset on audio tape (and the Bwgen web site) with several people. The longest anyone used it was about 3 days and they reported no response. Dah. I was (and am ) serious about my quest of returning to a normal healthy life style. Maybe that has something to do with my results. Perseverance surely is important. I used the generator for 4 months at the beginning, non-stop. I believed in the power and possibilities of the technology and I committed myself to using it until I got my results. A funny or not so funny foot note. The reason docs never take people off morphine is because there are many opiate receptors in the gut. Translation: when I got to zero morphine I experience severe diarrhea for 5 solid months before my system started settling down. The docs said we can give up opiates for that. No thanks I'm done with morphine. Perseverance, get the idea? I started meditating 28 years ago ( I mistakenly said 20 years in the first listing). In my early twenties I changed my life in a dramatic way (after 2 years of 3 times a day of 20 minute sitting meditation sessions) so I could seek an education. Re-defining your brain waves with low tech (quietly sitting) meditation is life changing. Allowing you conscious mind to enter lower brain frequencies is an extraordinary journey into expanding one's consciousness. When I became ill I could not sit and meditate, I could not stay awake. Low tech meditation was no longer an option for me. I was completely disarmed of a technology I had used in the past to effect a life change. What is so remarkable about the Bwgen is that I used it almost exclusively while I was asleep. Talk about a NO BRAINER. The generator did all the work, I was just along for the ride, and what a ride it is. The ride is far from over. Now my concentration is on weight loss and restoring hormone levels to a healthy range. This means hypothalamus and pituitary glands need to start functioning properly. My view point is that my body used to know how to function properly, I need to help it remember how to do it. Somewhere inside my head is the software program for health, I'm searching for it. How did my disease begin. The best guess came from Jay Caliendo (a medical intuitive from Phoenix, AR). Without knowing my history he said that I had been electrocuted when I was young and it messed up my hypothalamus. In 1981 I got accidently got across high voltage (from left to right hand) in a machinery system and was blown out of the power panel. I thought I was a goner. The Mayo clinic thought this would account for why the people in the medical record with my disease all manifesting in varying ways (all with hypothalamus disorders). There are 8 of us with this disease communicating over the inter-net. All but one remembers a high voltage hit. One person was hit by lightning. Now the short version of what does it do? It has returned (and is returning) a quality of life I thought I had lost. For those of you that have never purchased morphine it is $ 5.50 per tab. I used to take 4 tabs a day. This software is a little cheaper than that (smile). Stay healthy, |

Response to Ed G. De Guzman I don't have a magic formula about Bwgen presets, I just believe that anything is possible. Science has proven that thoughts produce molecules. Thoughts become matter. Thoughts are matter. We live in the matter realm. While at Mayo I discussed with doctors the concept of spontaneous healing. They said it happens, they don't understand it. Obviously anyone that it happen to was able to stand under the believe that such an event was possible. We are all, looking for molecules, we just call them by different names. If we can have a spontaneous attitude (directional) change that may be the key to the changes we are looking for. If the Bwgen could help us profoundly change our depth (level) of thought. Does that mean we could produce a different quality of molecules. Could this be the change we need? I believe this is what happened to me. I experimented with different frequencies and then I used off the shelf frequencies (others had investigated) to produce this preset. I am happy to share what ever I discover. As for the question about aids. I have no personal experience with aids. I'm sure as this field expands someone is the research community will seek to satisfy that question. |

Response to pascalsimon: hmmm....... interesting. You're missing the point. This preset IS NOT a replacement for morphine. Morphine supplies external opiates. I'm responding to my pain with my own internal opiates. The BWG helped me produce more internal opiates. A healthy person produces opiates all the time. Opiate receptors are scattered throughout the body. If you're looking for some quick just for fun stuff and something really interesting I'd suggest trying morphine. According to news reports kids are selling this stuff illegally on street corners. One 30mg tab chewed up (rapid response) should do the trick. I never enjoyed morphine. Other than keeping me from screaming all the time it had no redeeming qualities. Let me know how this works for you. |

Congrats and thanks for this preset. I have a friend whos 19 and suffers from chronic arthritis in just about every available joint in her body. I found this and suggested that she gave it a go, along with some other presets I found but she has no computer, so i need to burn the presets to cd. As for trying morphine for fun, her boyfriend and I decided to try some to see if we could cheer her up. We weren't much use after, and I can't say I felt that good. Anyways, thanks again and well done! |

Wow Ronald, you are very lucky. I think it is a great idea to send copies of your medical files to doctors, etc. You're case is a miracle, and doctors may be able to learn a lot from your case. I think that this preset has the ability to help A LOT of people. Keep up the good work and hopefully you will continue to show doctors and scientists your amazing story. This just goes to prove the powerfulness for BWG :):)

Ronald, I look forward to checking out your preset. Iboga and ibogain have the ability to reset a persons opiate receptors back to zero in just one weekend. My friends and I are combining therapies to make the detox stick for good. I have always thought using this technology would play a part but don't have the skill to create a complex preset. why re-invent the wheel anyway. It seems people poo poo the Monroe institute but they have been doing this for decades. their addiction programs must be good. their presets are based upon actual brainwave patterns of people as they are experiencing a particular state such as oobe or deep meditation etc. with an eeg readout as a guide the preset becomes much more complex incorporating many voices.(as does yours ronald)Has anyone checked them out? and why is the monroe institue seemingly snubbed by bwgen users?

Response to Dr. Dave: Thank you for the comment. No less than 6 of my doctors (including the prescribing physician) have my pain medication list in their files and have never made a comment on the percacet mg amount. So much for attention to detail. The medication label reads 5/325 mg. With your help and my pharmacist I now understand that I was taking 5 mg dosage/325 mg tablets. At a rate of 4 to 8 tablets per day that would be 20 to 40 mg of percacet. My prescriptions were for 360 tablets. Thank you for bringing this error to my attention. Morphine also comes in a 15 mg tablet.

Response to Billy: First of all, YOU MAY NEED TO TAKE MORPHINE to relieve pain so you don't create a further injury. TAKE YOUR MORPHINE AS PERSCRIBED … CALL YOU DOCTOR… Back surgery is very serious. Consult your physician. Tell him/her about your problem. Your doctor can always help in some way and if you're not getting the answer you want, ask again and again, until you are satisfied. Doctors owe us that. We must be treated as people, not just someone delivering a body. I quickly learned to be very out spoken about my case. Secondly if you are only taking one 30mg morphine tab per day you are most likely experiencing daily morphine withdrawals. Read on I'll explain. (Remember I'm not a doctor, only a stumbling around patient that wanted a better quality of life back). As I speak I am in month 17 of taking no pain killers for my bone disease. The morphine tabs I took were 12 hour time release, so I took one every 12 hours. I also took percacet for break-through-pain. When I discontinued taking percacet I was still taking 90mg of morphine per day (45mg twice per day). When I did this I made a major discovery. What I thought was daily break-through-pain was actually my body going into daily morphine withdrawal. This would occur between 9-1/2 to 10 hours after taking the medication. Morphine withdrawal is a painful and challenging event. HERE'S THE POINT. I should taken the morphine more often, possibly 3 times per day. This may have kept me out of daily morphine withdrawal symptoms. I may have been able to take less morphine in the long run by taking it more often. Share this information with your doctor and get his/her input. I have a friend that had back surgery and the doctor prescribed 12 hour time release morphine to be taken 3 times per day. When it is the right time to reduce your medication from 30mg per dosage I'm sure your doctor will prescribe 15mg per dosage allowing your body to get use to the change. My doc told me that he keeps his patients (that have been on long term morphine) on 15mg twice per day for the rest of their life… I'm the exception. CALL YOUR DOCTOR… GOOD LUCK… |

Update: I currently use the brain wave generator for 4 to 5 days only every 4 to 6 weeks. At bed time I listen to the 60 minute CD I burned. I put on the head phones and go to sleep. This method of pain control works for me.

My weight right now is 250 lbs. When I started my weight loss quest in October 2002 I weighed 240 lbs. Right before last Christmas I was walking 5 miles a day on my tread mill. I had been at that pace for 3 solid weeks. My weight had remained at 240 lbs. but my shape had changed. More muscle less fat. My 3 grand kids came to visit for Christmas break, I caught their cold and remained sick until the end of March. I have never had a cold that long. Since then I have not regained that level of inner fire that I had before Christmas. My energy level is roller coastering (up and down). My capacity for physical energy storage is very low (mental energy is fine) at the moment but it will come back, no doubt. I have several physical projects around my house that I am working on. I'll report my weight at the end of June. Take care and stay healthy. |

Hello Ron. A relative of mine has just been diagnosed with ECD. I am very interested in your story. The early symptoms were very similar to yours, although now she is not in pain just having problems with balance. We are curious to know if any other ECD sufferers have neurological problems, i.e. falling over ofter. If they do, is there any treatment available to deal with this.

I want to state that I am not affiliated with the Brain Wave Generator web site in any way nor do I receive any compensation from Mikko Noromaas. I have, when appropriate, shared my story with individuals I come in contact with during my daily outings. I will begin speaking about the subject after the first of the year upon completion of a book detailing my experiences. My last testing in May 2003 revealed the disease tissue around my kidneys is reducing. My Mayo (now in private practice, but still my doc) endocrinologist finds that remarkable. 2 days from now, on the 30th of October, I will have been off ALL pain killers for 2 years. I did not realize how long it would take for my mental facilities to return. From my view I'm 90% restored and improving every day. I still have an issue with sustainable energy but I'm working with that. I have not used the preset since last June and my pain level is practically non existent. 95% of the time zero pain. Occasionally very slight pain that resolves itself. My weight has been up and down. Currently at 265 lbs. How will I take it off? Exercise on my tread mill. Take care. |

I've been taking so many tablets for the last six years I'm definitely going to try this. I've been disagnosed with Chronic Pain Syndrome, and have regularly taken (daily) a multitude of tablets (Tizanidine, Morphine/Dyhidrocoedine, Meloxicam/Indomethacin + ibuprofen, Paracetamol, Zoton and another antacid [to combat the Meloxicam + ibuprofen], Citalopram, Amitryptyline and a whole slew of vitamins and stuff. I'll give this a try and see what happens. Might be worth telling others with similar chronic pain conditions to give it a try. I mean, if it works as well as medicine perhaps even make it a built-in pre-set for BWgen? Elliott |

My first hand review so far, at a medium volume even over regular speakers made me shake like I was standing naked in snow. It seems very similar to a reaction to taking 'too much' morphine. Interesting, I shall keep you posted.

An immediate response is not the important part. Through repetition of use (2 or 3 times per day for 30 days) you will begin to generate the brain wave frequencies naturally. This is true for all entrainment sessions. This is not a drug or a drug effect. Generating (higher amplitude) theta or delta frequencies while you are consciously awake is strange at first, but with time, it becomes a normal part of your brain functioning. The key is whether you are open to new possibilities. At this time one person, out of about one dozen that I have communicated with, has reported back that her results are like mine. All she did was systematically use the preset everyday, with stereo head phones of course. Good luck. |

BWGEN intrigues me in general and this in particular caught my attention. I have migraines that have have continued since I was eight years old and now I am 47. Have tried some oil supplements in the past 6 months with better success and still are having headaches, though much improved from 4-5 per week to 1-2 every two weeks. Narcotics work well; though I don't want to continue to live like this. I have been using the BWGEN for sometime now with some success. I am going to takes Ron's suggestion and try this twice a day for a month and see what that does to decrease the migraines. I keep thinking if there is some way to rerute the circuits then the pain would go away. I think science is beginning to demonstrate that (movie--What the Bleep do We Know?"). I will keep you posted an let you know the results. Also, as aside, I am studying to become a family nurse practitioner. It will be interesting to try this on myself and see the results. It may give one of my clients good results as well. And you are right--it is just a tad cheaper than medication. |

I have been using this for awhile, but whether I reject the soundwaves sometimes puzzles me.. I have fibromyalgia which causes pain and this has greatly helped me, and recently I just learned that a friend has cancer, so I want to recommend this to her.. Though, like you said, if you use this 2-3 times a day your brain will produce the frequencies itself? That is great to here. I am interested in extending segment B now as well :P.
|
| 28-Jul-2004, Ronald Montplaisir |
|
Meagon, with respect to rejecting frequencies, the brain entrains on its own while using the preset (or any preset). You may be talking to yourself, inside your head saying, “is this working?” You maybe distracting yourself with a HIGH generation of beta waves. Within beta waves is found the land of mind chatter. When you listen to the preset, give yourself a break from mind chatter (worry). The universe (source) already understands what you need before you ask. Make you personal request (fulfilling your personal need) of asking, by NOT asking. Meaning in faith, calm yourself, and allow your unasked request, to reverberate throughout the universe. What better way for God to bless you, than for you, to humble yourself, in silence. Is it not written, “Be still and know that I am God.” |

I tried this preset out today out of a general interest in pain reduction. Most notable was completely blanking out for several minutes at a time(as if anesthetized?) and deadening of the limbs towards the end of the session. Kudos, I will have to try again at a regimen, but I was astounded at the general effect, as I am new to the entrainment in general. |

Hi Skill. Thanks for the Kudos. Remember two important aspects of listening to binaural beat presets: 1) The carrier frequency does NOT have to be loud. Keep the volume at a comfortable listening level. If your ears ring, the volume is TOO high. 2) Don’t get carried away with turning the “bass frequency gain” TOO high. My portable CD player has 3 positions for “bass response.” Normal (no boost), medium boost, and high boost. I prefer MEDIUM boost (80% of the time) with a LOW over all listening volume. 20% of the time I use the NORMAL position. You do not have to rattle your head silly to be entrained. Enjoy… |

Hy, how are yow now? I hope you are well, and returning to work..... I have read your stories and I`m amazed, i also have a friend that takes pain reduction medication. I am thinking in burning an cd with these sounds from bwgen, and i am looking for some advices. I have bwgen and downloaded the preset that you have posted . Please tell me if i should use the wave that it generates, over and over on the cd for 60 minutes it will be ok? |

I'm alive and well. Having the best year yet since getting off morphine. On days when I'm very active I allow the CD in my player to run all night on repeat mode. I keep the bass to a minimum and the volume down low. This approach will also minimize flu symptoms. I've been off morphine for almost 4 years now it was about 10 years ago that my health challenge began. Since my original preset posting 5 individuals with my same rare bone disease have found me here and I've shared my experience and medical files with them. Many thanks to you Mikko, you've helped in ways you will never know. As for me, everyday is like a day at the Carnival. See ya at the cotton candy stand (smile)... |

Today (October 30th) is my 4th anniversary at zero morphine after a 33 month period of pain killers which included an all time high daily dosage of 400 mg of morphine with 280 mg of endocet. I still have the bone disease and health issues related to the disease, but bone pain is controlled through binaural beats (brain wave entrainment). Life is good, life without pain killers is better, much better. Next month (3rd week of November) marks 10 years ago when my health adventure began. The terrible pain years (counting seconds of agony, waiting for the next dosage of pain killers to kick in, and lift the searing heat like saturation of bone pain, just above my body, where I could see it, but not fell it) now seems like a distant dream. Today I got up early, worked in the yard (landscaping) for about 7 hours with an old friend, had a great dinner at home with my wife, and talked about the grand kids coming to visit next weekend. Life is much better. My doctors tell me that no one has done what I’ve done; I'm only the first of many, now it’s your turn. Best Wishes ~ Ron |

Hi Ron, You are a testament into how best to releive yourself from the overbearing urge to stay on Morphine. I have read with great interest into how you overcame such great obstacles, and I hope you are living a much healthier life now. I have been on Morphine for the past two years, after going through 5 surgeries on my back to try and relieve the pain related to nerve damage in the sciatica(S-1). This was caused by L4 and L5 herniated discs and DDD. As of this week, I decided I could no longer continue to take the Morphine, which is at 250 mg. per day, along with muscle relaxers(Flexaril). It is a decision that I made since my quality of life is already at a weak point due to the injury, and the medication never really cuts the pain down to a minimum threshhold. I am in the process of weaning myself off of it, taking less of it daily to accustom my body to the changes. The problem is, my rest at night has been cut in half, and I feel like my heart is going to explode out of my chest. I shake uncontrollably. I know this is the withdrawal from such a high dosage, and also know I have to do this for not only myself, but my family. My question is: How much does one of those Brain Wave Generators cost, and where do I pick one up? I am willing to try anything to get off this stuff so I can have my life back. I hope you are doing well, and that life has gotten better for you..... Thanks. |

I'm going to try this preset as soon as I get a chance, but I wanted to suggest medical marijuana to anyone who is actually having problems like this. Get a greencard and grow your own medicine. I find the process of growing it to be very spiritual and that it aids in the healing when smoked/eaten/vaporized.

Ron, this story fascinates me. Can you email me privately or maybe I will try to email you. I wonder, if you could shift your endogenous opiates like that, why couldn't you shift the way your body breaks down bone? Thanks. |

We need more people to push the knowledge of modern medicine beyond its traditional boundaries. I have made my own presets for the release of endogenous opiates, and find that they help with many problems, in particular the pain that I suffer as a result of strain and injuries (athletic and from violent encounters). It also helps when I am drained and my muscles need to recover. I am very active, and highly focused on my health, thus greatly appreciate these abilities of bwgen. I also condone the use of medicinal marijuana, being someone who is presently on trial for possession and looking to convince the government to grow my own. Thank you for sharing your story, Ron. You may have triggered a major breakthrough in modern medicine.
